Second module of the Fellowship in Aesthetic Dentistry commenced at Annoor Dental College, Muvattupuzha on 22nd September 2025 with sessions focusing on advances in esthetic restorative dentistry.
The day began with an insightful lecture on “Indirect Tooth Coloured Restoration” by Dr. Liza George, Professor, Dept. of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, who elaborated on the Indications, Tooth preparation, and material considerations for achieving long-lasting esthetic restorations.
This was followed by a T-Scan Demonstration conducted by the Dept. of Oral Medicine & Radiology, highlighting the role of digital occlusal analysis in clinical practice.
Dr. Jose Paul, HOD, Dept. of Periodontics, delivered a session on “Pink Aesthetics & Crown Lengthening”, which included a live demonstration on crown lengthening.
Post-lunch, participants engaged in hands-on sessions on: Diastema Closure with direct composite and Onlay Tooth Preparation.
The second day of the module focused on post-endodontic and digital restorative approaches.
Dr. Josey Mathew, HOD, Dept. of Conservative Dentistry, delivered a comprehensive session on “Post Endodontic Restorations”, addressing contemporary treatment modalities for structurally compromised teeth. This was followed by a Demonstration and Hands-on Training on Intraoral Scanners, conducted by Dr. Manu Johns, Dept. of Prosthodontics, familiarizing participants with digital workflow in restorative dentistry. This was followed by an insightful lecture on Current Techniques and advancements in Bleaching by Dr. Liza George. The module concluded with the Valedictory Function, during which the faculty and participants reflected on the academic enrichment and clinical exposure gained through the two modules. Certificates were distributed to the participants, marking the successful completion of Module 2.
