Overview

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) degree is awarded at the successful completion of four and half years of study and one year of internship to the students as per the regulations of Dental Council of India (DCI). The course comprises didactic lectures, demonstrations, group discussions, seminars, clinical work and conferences. The aim and objective of the curriculum is to produce a dentist who is socially acceptable and is able to work safely and effectively on patients in diagnosis, prevention and treatment of dental and oral disease. At present, the institution is running the BDS degree programme under two DCI regulations (old and new) Old Regulation (Up to the batch of 2007-08)

Admissions Criteria

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or examinations recognized equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Biology separately, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together, are eligible and also studied English as a compulsory subject in the Plus Two level.

As per allotment by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE), Govt. of Kerala from among the KEAM Rank list prepared on the basis of NEET Score of the respective year

Age: Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December 2024. No relaxation in the minimum age will be allowed. There is no upper age limit.

Hostel - Rules

The college has separate hostel facility for Girls and Men’s within the campus. Round the clock security, uninterrupted supply of water and continuous electricity with generator back up is assured. Hostel mess provides homely and balanced diet offering both vegetarian and non vegetarian menu to suit the palate.
