Second module of the Fellowship in Aesthetic Dentistry commenced at Annoor Dental College, Muvattupuzha on 28th April 2026 with sessions focusing on advances in esthetic restorative dentistry.
Day 1 began with an insightful lecture on “Indirect Tooth Coloured Restoration” by Dr. Liza George, Vice Principal & Professor, Dept. of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, who elaborated on the Indications, Tooth preparation, and material considerations for achieving long-lasting esthetic restorations. Dept. of Oral Medicine & Radiology, conducted “Demonstration on T scan“ highlighting the role of digital occlusal analysis in clinical practice. Dr. Jose Paul, Professor & HOD, Dept. of Periodontics, delivered a session on “Pink Aesthetics & Crown Lengthening”, which included a live demonstration on crown lengthening.
Post-lunch, participants engaged in hands-on sessions: onlay & crown preparation
Day 2 commenced with a comprehensive session on “Post Endodontic Restorations”, by Dr. Josey Mathew, Professor & HOD, Dept. of Conservative Dentistry. Dr. Manu Johns, Professor Dept. of Prosthodontics, conducted a “Demonstration and Hands-on training session on intraoral scanners”, acquainting participants with the digital workflow involved in restorative dentistry. Dr. Joby Peter, Professor & HOD, Dept of Pedodontics delivered lecture on “Pedoaesthetics”.
Post lunch an enlightening lecture was delivered on “Current Techniques and advancements in Bleaching” by Dr Liza George, which was followed by hands on session on diastema closure.
