With real-life examples and case experiences, he gave the students an eye-opening perspective on the ways in which drug addiction begins—often subtly—and how it quickly destroys lives, families, and futures. He elaborated on the types of commonly abused substances, the psychological tactics used by peddlers, and legal consequences under the NDPS Act.
He also discussed the social pressures and mental health challenges that make youth vulnerable to drug use, stressing the importance of early intervention, peer support, and confidential reporting mechanisms. Students were encouraged to speak up, support friends in distress, and avoid the false glamour often associated with drug culture. His session ended with a motivational call to action: “You are the change-makers. Start with yourself, and help your peers make the right choices. of students in combating drug abuse through awareness, peer support, and responsible choices.
Following the talk, all attendees took an Anti-Drug Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to a drug-free life. To express gratitude and appreciation, the Anti Narcotic Committee Chairman Dr. Josey Mathew of Annoor Dental College & Hospital honoured Shri. Sidheek with a memento.
