Dept. of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Annoor Dental College and Hospital, Muvattupuzha successfully completed first module of “ENLITE 2023” on 19th & 20th Dec 2023. ENLITE-(Endodontic learning initiative to Excel) is a program designed to train the participants to perform root canal treatment of posterior teeth using rotary file systems. ENLITE 23 is the sixth edition of ENLITE started in 2018.

The program started with prayer song, followed by lectures on ‘ANATOMY OF ROOT CANALS AND ACCESS CAVITY PREPARATION’ by Dr. Josey Mathew (Professor & HOD, Dept. of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics) and on ‘CLEANING AND SHAPING OF ROOT CANALS’ by Dr. Liza George (Professor, Dept. of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics and Vice Principal, Annoor Dental College). Dr. Sinju Paul (Reader, Dept. of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics) gave a lecture on ‘PAIN MANAGEMENT IN ENDODONTICS’ on 20th Dec, 2023. Participants were imparted hands-on training on access cavity preparation and cleaning and shaping of anteriors, premolars and molars using Protaper Gold rotary files. The program also included hands -on training on rubber dam isolation.
