First module of “Smile Artistry”- Work shop on Smile Creation; an initiative of Annoor Aesthetic Academy hosted by the Dept. of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Annoor Dental College & Hospital, Muvattupuza was conducted by on 12th & 13th September, 2023. The module included hands on training of direct anterior aesthetic composite restoration and ceramic veneer preparation. Handson sessions were led by Dr. Liza George (Professor, Dept. of Conservative Dentistry), Dr. Giju George Baby (Principal, Annoor Dental College& Hospital) lectured on significance of Occlusion in restoration. Didactic lectures on composite material selection for aesthetic restoration, Ceramic material aspect and tooth preparation for ceramic veneers were conducted by Dr. Josey Mathew (HOD, Dept. of Conservative Dentistry). Dr. Liza George spoke on shade selection, clinical procedures for aesthetic composite restoration and ceramic veneer preparation. Dr. Binu T Abraham, (Orthodontist) expert faculty on Dental photography gave a lecture on Role of Photography in aesthetic restorations and hands on training on dental photography.

Second module that includes impression procedure, bonding of ceramic veneers, aesthetic restorations in Pediatric dentistry and Peridontal aspect of Aesthetic Dentistry is scheduled on 10th & 11th Oct, 2023.
