On November 13, 2024, the Annoor Women’s Brigade, in collaboration with the Women’s Dental Council of the Indian Dental Association (IDA) Greater Kochi Branch, organized an insightful awareness session titled “CUP OF LIFE.” The session was led by Dr. Niranjana G. Nair, a distinguished medical professional with credentials in MBBS, DGO, and DNB, currently serving at Samaritan Hospital, Pazhaganad. The event focused on educating students about menstrual cups as a sustainable and healthy alternative to traditional menstrual hygiene products. Dr. Niranjana G. Nair delivered a detailed and comprehensive presentation, discussing the benefits of menstrual cups, proper usage techniques, hygiene practices, and their long-term advantages for personal health and environmental sustainability. The session was highly interactive, featuring an engaging presentation followed by an open Q & A segment. Students actively participated by posing various questions and voicing their concerns, which Dr. Nair addressed with clarity and empathy.

The program was moderated by Dr. Liza George (Vice Principal, Annoor Dental College) & Ms. Mereena Mathew (Lecturer, Dept. of Microbiology, Annoore Dental College). Prominent attendees included IDA Greater Kochi President Dr. Ravi Sankar, Secretary Dr. Subin A. Suman, WDC Representatives Dr. Aswani Anil, and Dr. Gauri C. A., who all contributed to the success of the event.
