On the observance of World Oral Health Day, a dental screening and treatment camp was held at Bethlehem Geriatric Care Home, Mulanthuruthy on March 19, 2024. It was organized by Department of Public Health Dentistry, Annoor Dental College and Hospital, Muvattupuzha in association with IDA Thirupunithura to improve the dental health of geriatric patients. The camp commenced after the formal inauguration, with the symbolic lighting of the lamp. The following events were conducted at the camp:
1. Oral screening was performed on patients
2. Treatment was rendered to peoples.
3. One-on-one health awareness session for the patients.
4. Distribution of Sensodyne Toothpastes.
5. Patients with missing teeth were evaluated, diagnosed, and primary impressions were taken to facilitate the provision of complimentary dentures.
All patients were provided with a referral card for availing further treatment in the dental college. The camp concluded successfully, earning high praise and appreciation from the organizers. The camp was covered by local media and a newspaper article was published.
