A dental screening and treatment camp was held at Ilahia Public School, Muvattupuzha on 20th April 2024. It was organized by Muvattupuzha Municipal Corporation, Kerala Social Security Mission ‘Vyomitram’, Santhigiri College Social Work Department in collaboration with Department of Public Health Dentistry, Annoor Dental College, and Hospital to ensure optimal dental health for the general population. As a part of International Student Exchange Program, the students from Manipal Dental College, Melaka, Malaysia also attended the camp. The following events were conducted at the camp:
1. Oral screening was performed on patients.
2. Treatment was done in mobile dental van which included scaling and GIC restorations.
3. Toothpaste distribution was done.
4. Tooth Brushing Technique was demonstrated to the patients.
All patients were provided with a referral card for availing further treatment in the college. The students from Manipal Dental College, Melaka, Malaysia, provided comprehensive feedback on their camp experience, detailing their perspectives and insights gained during the camp. The camp garnered positive reviews and earned praise from the organizers for its meaningful impact.
