A Dental screening camp was held at the Lion’s Club Hall, Vazhithala, on 19.10.2024. It was organized by the Lions Club of Vazhithala, Vazhithala Service Cooperative Bank, and the Sri Bhavani Foundation, Kalady, in association with the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Annoor Dental College and Hospital, Muvattupuzha, and Amrita Hospital, Edappally to provide dental and ophthalmic services to the residents of Vazhithala community. The camp was inaugurated by Shri. A.K. Bhaskaran (Purappazha Panchayat President). The following events were conducted at the camp:
1. Oral screening was conducted for patients.
2. One-on-one demonstration of tooth brushing techniques was conducted.
3. Toothpaste was distributed to the patients.
All patients were provided with a referral card for availing further treatment at the college. The camp received acclaim from organizers, who highlighted its impactful contribution and commended its positive reception. The event was covered by the local newspaper agencies and report was published.
