A Dental treatment camp was held at Vengola Grama Panchayat Hall, Vengola on 25.11.2023. It was organized by Vengola Grama Panchayat and Jai Bharath College, Master of Social Work Department, Arakkappady in association with Department of Public Health Dentistry, Annoor Dental College and Hospital, Muvattupuzha to enhance the overall health of the residents of the Vengola Panchayat. The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Shihab Pallikal (Vengola Grama Panchayat President) and Mrs Naseema Rahim (Vengola Grama Panchayat Vice-president). Felicitation speech was given by Dr. Navami Ashok (Senior Lecturer, Department of Public Health Dentistry). Oral screening was performed and treatment was rendered to the patients in the treatment van. Awareness class was taken on maintenance of oral health. At this camp, an extra advantage awaits – the first 20 eligible patients will receive complimentary removable partial dentures and complete dentures. As an added benefit, follow-up treatments will also be provided within the college premises when patients are brought in for their subsequent care. The event was covered by the local media and a newspaper report was published.
