Dept. of Prosthodontics conducted National level CDE programe “EXPLORING NEW HORIZONS IN DENTAL IMPLANTOLOGY – PTERYGOID IMPLANTS” on 06.07.2023 at TM Seethy Hall, Annoor Dental College & Hospital, Muvattupuzha. Dr. Annie Susan Thomas (HOD, Dept. of Prosthodontics) delivered the welcome address. Guest speaker for the day was Dr. Prisly Thomas (Head of Dental Implantology, Belivers Medical College, Thiruvalla). Dr. Jacob George (Reader, Dept. of Prosthodontics) introduced the guest speaker. The session mainly focused on different aspect of Pterygoid implants and discussion on different case scenarios. Faculties Dr. Jose Paul (HOD, Dept. of Periodontics) Dr. Eldhose George (HOD, Dept. of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery), Dr. Manu Johns (Professor, Dept. of Prosthodontics), Dr. Jiss Mary George (Reader, Dept. of Oral Medicine & Radiology) and also delivered lectures on Pterygoid implants focusing mainly on its surgical, radiographic and prosthetic options. Following the lectures, live demo on models were also demonstrated by the guest speaker. Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. P.S. Prabhu (Professor, Dept. of Prosthodontics). The program was a grand success with participants from all over the country.
