The Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology in Annoor Dental College mainly focuses on diagnosis and medical management of diseases of oral mucosa, jaws, teeth, salivary glands, and oral manifestations of systemic disorders, medical management of facial and temporomandibular joint disorders & non-surgical management of medically related disorders that affect the oral and maxillofacial regions, Biopsy procedures for mucosal lesions, Habit counseling and tobacco cessation programme.

The main facets of Department: Clinical care, Research-ICMR, Undergraduate training, CBCT 3D Imaging, T Scan, TENS, TMD Clinic, Early Oral Cancer Detection And Prevention, Prathyasha Tobacco cessation clinic, Institutional triple O.

The department has adequate space for oral diagnosis, Oral Medicine, and Dental Radiology. The department is equipped with contoured chairs with units, Intra oral periapical Machine, Radio Visual Graphy and Intra oral camera. Radiology section has intraoral periapical radiograph machine and a dark room with all provisions. In the department we have NEW TOM GiANO HR CBCT MACHINE which is an extremely versatile device that offers detailed images and dedicated protocols for adults and children, studied to reduce patient exposure based on the actual needs of the investigation. A new T Scan machine, a Bipolar TENS machine and Infra-Red Thermal Unit are added to the departmental assets.
