An oral screening and treatment camp was successfully conducted on 6th July 2025 at the Vachumaram Tribal Colony Community Hall, aimed at promoting oral health awareness and providing essential dental care services to the underserved tribal population. This noble initiative was jointly organized by the Department of Public Health Dentistry, Annoor Dental College, Indian Dental Association (IDA) Chalakkudy Branch, and the Thrissur District Legal Services Authority, reflecting a collaborative effort towards improving community health and legal awareness. The camp was officially inaugurated by Smt. Savita, the Honorable Judicial First-Class Magistrate, Chalakkudy . Smt. Abeena C. H., the Honorable Additional Munsiff, Irinjalakkuda , served as the Guest of honour. An awareness talk was given by Dr Pooja Latti, HOD, Dept. of Public Health Dentistry. Throughout the day, numerous individuals from the tribal colony received free oral health checkups and treatments. All participants were educated on proper oral hygiene practices, with brushing techniques demonstrated and oral hygiene kits distributed. Additionally, medicines were provided to those in need - ensuring not only immediate care but also the tools and knowledge to maintain long-term oral health.
