Annoor Dental College & Hospital observed World AIDS Day 2025 with a meaningful red ribbon awareness initiative organized by the YUGA Students Union. The day focused on spreading knowledge, breaking stigma, and showing compassion and solidarity with individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
Red ribbons—the universal symbol of awareness and support—were distributed to all staff members, interns, and students, encouraging everyone to stand together in the global fight against HIV. Student volunteers delivered short awareness messages across classrooms and departments, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis, safe practices, empathy, and eliminating discrimination.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the entire college community. Through this collective effort, we aimed to strengthen awareness, promote responsibility, and remind everyone that knowing the facts is the first step toward prevention and support.
World AIDS Day is not just a reminder of the challenges faced by millions around the world; it is a call to action—to learn, to support, and to stand united. Together, we can create a more informed, compassionate, and stigma-free society.
