Dental Camp – Mahatma club, Mammalassery
On the observance of World Oral Health Day, a dental screening and treatment camp and free denture camp was held at Mammalassery on March 22, 2025. It was organized by Department of Public Health Dentistry and Department of Prosthodontics, Annoor Dental College and Hospital in association with the Mahatma club, Mammalassery, to improve the dental health of the general population. The dental team consisted of 15 members who included faculty from Dept. of Public Health Dentistry and Prosthodontics, PGs from Dept. of Prosthodontics, interns, final year part 1 students and supporting staff. The following events were conducted at the camp:
1. Oral screening was performed on 58 patients.
2. Treatment was rendered to 5 patients in the treatment van which included scaling
and restorations.
3. Impressions were taken for 10 edentulous patients.
4. Medicines and toothpaste distribution done.
This camp has been verified and internationally recognized in the official website of FDI of World Oral Health Day. The camp was held from 09:00 am to 1:00 pm. All patients were provided with a referral card for availing further treatment in the dental college. The camp was successful and was well appreciated by the organizers.
