Department of Periodontics is one among the excellent Department in the State with well equipped clinics and most modern technologies. Laser and Implant Clinics in the Department outshine the other facilities. Undergraduate section and Post graduation section function with excellent patient flow, well sterilized (Class B Autoclave) instruments, well equipped chairs and amiable staff. The post graduate program has been recognized by the Dental Council of India in 2016. Outpatient screening is done with a comprehensive view describing the details of the patient. Adequate treatment plan as well as reviews are scheduled and followed up. Comprehensive treatment is executed with inter disciplinary approach synchronizing with other departments of our college. Surgical procedures including Minor Oral surgical procedures, Flap surgeries, Periodontal Plastic surgeries, Laser therapy as well as implant Surgeries along with Advanced Sinus Lift procedures are performed. Most modern equipment for obtaining high quality PRF for bone and soft tissue regeneration with Choukrons Centrifuge, Soft Tissue diode Laser, Physiodispenser, Advanced Implant Surgical kit along with Advanced Ridge expansion and Ridge split instruments are used. Soft tissue surgeries utilizing Micro surgical instruments are also done in the Department. The doctors in the Department excel in their Knowledge as well as in the versatility in surgical skills. Doctors are frequently trained and updated in newer technologies. Publications in National and International Journals are frequently achieved. Senior faculties in the Department are the invited Speakers in various National podiums. In near future we are planning to start certified programs in Implant as well as in Laser.
